Breast enlargement is done on an outpatient basis at our state-of-the-art Los Angeles facility under general anesthesia. A small incision is made and a silicone or saline implant is inserted. Incisions are most often placed periareolar. Incisions can alternatively be placed in discreet locations such as the armpit.
Balanced and aesthetic results are achieved by correct placement of implants into the breast in a pocket created by the surgeon either above or below the pectoralis muscle. Implant placement is determined by the shape of the patient and the physician's best judgement as to how the most pleasing and natural results can be achieved.
Recovery from Breast Enlargement
You will go home in an elastic bra which helps hold the breasts in the correct position. Initial discomfort is controlled with oral medication, and sutures are usually removed in 7 to 12 days. Light activities can be resumed as tolerated, and aerobic activities can be started in about 3 weeks. Moving or sliding the implants within the breast pockets during the postoperative period may reduce the frequency of wrinkling.
After your recovery is complete, your only complaint will be that you didn't have breast enlargement sooner. If you're like most women, you will feel more self-confident, sexier, and more attractive than ever before.
Complimentary Procedures
An additional procedure that would enhance the results of a breast augmentation is a Breast Lift if the breasts are also saggy, a condition that is common after pregnancy, breast feeding, weight loss, or a result of the aging process.
Breast enlargement is considered cosmetic and therefore is not covered by insurance.
