Dr. Suzuki was a keynote speaker for the 3rd Annual Japanese Limb Salvage conference, held in Yokohama Japan, during May 13th and 14th, 2011. The conference was originally scheduled to be held in the city of Sendai, which was damaged heavily from the Magnitude 9.0 earthquake and tsunami on March 11th, 2011. In honor of 26,000 lives lost, Dr. Suzuki donated his speaking honorarium (US$3,000) to the Japanese Red Cross Society for the support of the earthquake and tsunami victims.
